GARABANDAL TRAVEL

For almost thirty years we have been involved in the promotion of Garabandal through books, literature, films and in recent times the event of video has made this work that much easier.

Through a visit in 1975 to this humble little village almost hidden among the mountains of northern Spain I realised my future mission was the spreading of the message of Garabandal.

In this village between June 18th 1961 and November 13th 1965 extraordinary events took place. St Michael the Archangel and the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared many times to four young girls, with messages of prayer and penance. Almost every year following my first visit a pilgrimage to Garabandal has been the highlight of my life. Then some eight years ago in order to make travel to Garabandal more readily available a decision was made to form a company, ‘Garabandal Travel Ltd’ in association with Celebration Travel Ireland Limited.

This partnership has proved most successful serving pilgrims from both Ireland and from the UK. Three pilgrimages are arranged per year at Easter, July and October. Accommodation is provided in the ultra modern Garabandal Hotel and all meals are served in the restaurant. The hotel has 29 rooms, all en suite.

Optional Tours are available to shrines and holy places of interest in the local area around Garabandal.

Tour 1 GARABANDAL:
The Journey. A one hour flight from Dublin and we arrive in London, Gatwick where we meet our English pilgrims for the main flight (approx. 2 hour) to Bilbao, Spain. Our Spanish coach will be waiting for the three hour journey to that rugged yet beautiful setting in the mountains of northern Spain. It’s full name is San Sebastian de Garabandal. On entering the village the first building on the right is where we terminate our journey; The Garabandal Hotel. Our host for the duration of our pilgrimage is Mari-Loli’s sister Sari who will be taking care of the catering while making sure everyone is happy with the hotel accommodation.

Tour 2 PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA & GARABANDAL:
Day 1 - Depart Dublin airport to arrive London Heathrow. Join with UK group for connecting flight to Lisbon. On arrival transfer by coach to Fatima for overnight.
Day 2 & 3 - Our tour guide will take us to and explain the various sites and ceremonies in Fatima plus.
Day 4 - Leave Fatima for a very full day following in the footsteps of St. James travelling along the coastline, first stop Balazar (Alexandrina), continue our journey and visit Convent at Tuy, drive on to visit convent at Pontevedra. Finally we drive to Santiago de Compostela for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - Visit Cathedral of St. James, long drive to Garabandal (approx 6 hours) stopping en-route at Covadonga, the Lourdes of Spain. Onwards to check into Garabandal Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
