ROME
DAY ONE - Arranged flight to Rome. Coach transfer to hotel. Dinner on arrival.
DAY TWO - In the morning transfer from hotel to St. Peter's Basilica where a guide will meet us to take us around St. Peter's Basilica and the Tombs of the Popes. In the afternoon, Mass will be arranged in the nearby Chapel and a group photograph will be arranged. Return to the hotel for dinner.
DAY THREE - Transfer to St. Peter's Basilica (if Wednesday Papal Audience / if Sunday Papal Blessing - subject to the Holy Father being in Rome).
In the afternoon the coach will pick us up for a half day excursion visiting the major Basilica's of St. Paul's Outside the Walls, St. Mary Major's, St. John Lateran and Scala Sancta, passing the Colosseum and sites of ancient Rome. Return to hotel for dinner.
DAY FOUR - Full day excursion to Assisi visiting the Basilica of St. Clare. Mass will be arranged in St. Francis' Basilica in the afternoon. At 4.00pm we depart Assisi to visit the church of St. Mary d'Angeli, the site where St. Francis died. Return to hotel for dinner.
DAY FIVE - Free day in Rome at your leisure (a morning Mass will be arranged for the group). Return to hotel for dinner. In the evening we have a Rome by night tour visiting the major sights and the Trevi Fountain.
DAY SIX - Transfer to the Vatican for Papal audience (if this is a Wednesday - subject to the Holy Father being in Rome). Free afternoon (an afternoon Mass will be arranged for the group). Return to hotel for dinner.
DAY SEVEN - A morning Mass will be arranged. Optional half day excursion to Castelgandolfo and Frascati or any place you suggest (price to be arranged). Return to hotel for dinner.
DAY EIGHT - After breakfast we have a coach transfer to Rome Airport for our return flight.
