Tangney Tours has been established for 29 years and is the largest tour operator for pilgrimage travel in the UK.
We specialise in travel for groups around the world looking to go on pilgrimage to shrines throughout Europe and even as far as the United States.
Tangney Tours has up to three direct charter flights a week to Lourdes which is in the South West of France. These flights operate from Stansted airport but our programme also includes many other regional airports throughout the UK.
We also have pilgrimages to Rome, Fatima and more recently Poland. Poland has proved to be a huge success with pilgrims visiting various shrines such as Czestochowa and the Divine Mercy convent.
Our groups department will also be pleased to quote for any destination with or without a religious importance. During the past year, groups have visited Prague, Czestochowa, Jersey, Assisi, Malta, Turin, Bruges, San Francisco and many other places.
We are also fully licensed with the Civil Aviation Authority, ATOL 1220, and we are members of ABTA and AITO. We carry all these licenses for the protection of you and your money.

LOURDES
We have 3 charter flights a week direct to Lourdes from London. Lourdes is a small town, where in 1858 our Blessed Lady appeared to a young peasant, Bernadette Soubirous, at the Grotto of Massabielle in this town. Since then millions of pilgrims have prayed in Lourdes.
We offer a range of pilgrimages all year round for various lengths of time. We have a wide selection of hotels including our own hotel: The Beau Site.
A full programme is organised for you in Lourdes as part of our package. We are specialists for groups as well as individuals traveling to Lourdes.
COACH TOURS
We have a variety of coach tours departing from the UK throughout the year for various feasts and celebrations that take place in Lourdes, such as the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and even Christmas in Lourdes.
We can even create and personalise a coach itinerary for your own group of friends or local parish. We have coach tours that stop at Nevers, where the body of St Bernadette is kept and also stopping at Rocamadour. Tangney Tours has been organising coach tours for more than 30 years.
POLAND
The home of John Paul II is near to Krakow and it was the home of St Faustina of the Divine Mercy.
We offer various trips throughout the year to Poland, visiting Czestochova and the shrine of Jasna Gora containing the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Black Madonna, dating back to our Lady’s time. According to tradition it was painted by St Luke on a tablet made by Joseph and taken to Poland in 1382.
We can also include a visit to Auschwitz which is an extremely
moving site and then onto the Benedictine Abbey of Tyniec.
FATIMA
Our Pilgrimages to Fatima, of various durations, operate from May through to October and offer Pilgrims the opportunity to participate in the ceremonies held on 12th and 13th of each month. They will also be able to visit the homes of the three shepherds and take excursions to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon and the fishing resort of Nazare.

Fatima can also be combined with a Pilgrimage to Lourdes, or visits to the Spanish cities of Santiago de Compostela, Valladolid and Burgos either by air or by coach.
ROME
Tangney Tours offers Pilgrimages to Rome throughout the year, departing on Mondays for durations of 4, 5 or 8 days, or at any time for groups. Departures are available from both London and regional airports.
Our hotel accommodation is centrally located, close to the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. Our resident tour Manager will advise you on all aspects of being a Pilgrim in Rome and will provide tickets for the Papal Audience on Wednesday and arrange sightseeing tours of the major monuments and Basilicas in Rome.
Pilgrimages to Rome can be combined with visits to Assisi, San Giovanni and many other Italian cities.
SAN FRANCISCO
New for 2004, Tangney Tours has organised a 9 day tour to San Francisco and the wine valleys of Napa. This trip will include a trip around the magnificent town of San Francisco and the main regions located close by. With visits to northern California and the wine valley of Napa, this is surely a trip not to be missed.

ISRAEL, JORDAN and the HOLY LANDS
New for 2004, Tangney Tours will operate an 8 day pilgrimage from London to the Holy Lands.This pilgrimage will start with direct flights from London to Amman with a luxury coach tour for 8 days. Your accommodation is in three and four star hotels on a half board basis. The tour incorporates visits to Petra, the Jordan Valles, the Sea of Galilee, the Walling Wall, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Mount Zion and many more places.
