Artists, musicians and dancers from around the world are set to take part in a street festival in Liverpool this weekend.
The Festival of Hope 08 street party on Saturday celebrates the unity of the churches in the Mersey region.
A Procession of Hope will take place along Hope Street that connects the Anglican Cathedral and the (Catholic) Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King.
The celebrations include South Pacific dancers, gospel music and breakdancing workshops.
The free festival ends with two concerts at the cathedrals - a youth-based concert from SPACE at Anglican Cathedral and Hope Inspired, hosted by BBC Merseyside's Wayne Clarke, at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
The festival is part of Hope 08, which is a national initiative of the Christian church to give 1,000,000 hours of kindness in their communities.
