Former Prime Minister Tony Blair will be one of a number of high profile contributors to a new BBC religious programme to be hosted by Fern Britton.
Mr Blair, who is currently in contention for the position of the next President of the European Council, will talk about his conversion to Catholicism.
He also explains in the programme his aims behind setting up a Faith Foundation which he says is intended to get people from different religions working together.
Other contributors in the BBC series, which will air in ahead of Christmas, include Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu who tells the show that he has always been "a prisoner of hope". The South African bishop also jokes that he would like to ask God: "Whose side are you on?"
Actress Sheila Hancock who is a Quaker is another contributor. She has lost two husbands to cancer. After the death of her second husband, Inspector Morse star John Thaw, she wrote two ‘inspiring’ books.
The actress has recently been treading the boards as the Mother Superior in the musical version of 'Sister Act'.
The four one-hour programmes called 'Fern Britton Meets...' will begin on BBC1 in late November.
BBC1 will also broadcast two 'Songs of Praise' specials over Christmas - a spectacular from the Royal Albert Hall with Bryn Terfel, Ruby Turner and Jodie Prenger, and another recorded at a church in Jerusalem.
